Mirabel Police Officers’ Help Fund Raises $12,000

The Mirabel police officers’ help fund collected $12,000 during their 21st annual Christmas basket fundraising campaign.
Volunteers from the MPD collected donations from generous citizens during the 5-hour campaign that took place on December 5 in the parking lot of the Saint-Janvier IGA on Boul. Curé-Labelle in Mirabel. Also present were members of the Laurentides-Lanaudière paramedic services, firefighters from the city of Mirabel, firefighters in training from the Firefighters Academy, as well as members of the Canadian armed forces.
300 Baskets
The money that was collected will be used to provide Christmas baskets to needy families in Mirabel.
About 300 baskets will be distributed on December 19 at the Val-d’Espoir complex in Saint-Janvier, in collaboration with le Centre de dépannage Saint-Janvier, the optimists and employees of Bell Helicopter.
