$ 24,000 spent in local restaurants thanks to the campaign Waiting to see you again.

The Groupement des Entreprises de Sainte-Thérèse (GEST) of the Thérèse-De Blainville Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCITB) announced that nearly $ 24,000 has been spent at restaurants in the region as part of the campaign Waiting to see you again.

This campaign, deployed in mid-November, was aimed at businesses in the region that had unspent budgets due to the pandemic (party Christmas, business dinners, sponsorships, etc.) and challenged them to use these amounts to purchase gift certificates from restaurants in Sainte-Thérèse. The challenge was initially launched by Sylvain Tassé, CEO and co-owner of Quadra Plast, who wanted to find a way to support restaurateurs.

More than fifteen companies have answered the call and have taken up the challenge. By sharing posts on their social networks and challenging other entrepreneurs, they helped create a great wave of mutual aid. It is thanks to the contribution of STRP partners that projects like this one are possible; La Petite Clinique, Prohibition beer bar, Vocalys and the City of Sainte-Thérèse.

“The GEST is proud of the solidarity and generosity shown by the businesses of Sainte-Thérèse. As a restaurateur, I can testify to the support and the wave of love I felt through this campaign. The amounts spent in my establishment have helped a lot, especially during this period when no other income is recorded. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to Waiting to see you again,” said Marie-Chantale Desjardins, president of the GEST and owner of the Prohibition beer bar.

“For me, it’s a great pride to know that my basic idea led to this success. I have the feeling that I have contributed as best I could to support the restaurateurs in my city. I am happy to see that many have taken up my challenge and above all, to be part of this business community! » revealed Sylvain Tassé.

Businesses who want to support local restaurateurs can continue to do so by purchasing gift certificates, even though the holiday season is officially over. A list of restaurants in Sainte-Thérèse as well as campaign details can be found on the page: www.ccitb.ca/resto.
