Following the recent adoption of the new provincial regulation on the supervision of dogs, all dog owners in Rosemère must now obligatorily register their dog (s) and obtain the regulatory medal from the SPCA Lanaudière Basses-Laurentides. However, guide dogs are exempt from this new regulation.
The medal is purchased directly online on the SPCA Lanaudière Basses-Laurentides website, at a cost of $ 25 / year. The entire $ 25 will go to the organization in order to pursue its mission, which is fundamentally aimed at the well-being of pets. Its sums will be invested in information and education efforts with citizens who will aim to foster better knowledge and greater respect for animals.
The police responsible for the file
For the cities of Boisbriand, Lorraine, Rosemère and Sainte-Thérèse, the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville (RIPTB) is responsible for compliance with this new regulation. The latter will educate citizens under its jurisdiction to register their dog and obtain the regulatory medal as soon as possible.
