The City of Sainte-Thérèse calls on local artists
In order to promote the talent of artists in the region, the City of Sainte-Thérèse is launching a call for applications as part of its program of citizen exhibitions and its Policy for the acquisition of works of art. The selected artists will have the opportunity to present their creations at exhibitions organized by the City or to sell their works so that they can be integrated into the municipal collection.

If you are an artist from Sainte-Thérèse or the surrounding area, take this unique opportunity to share your artistic achievements with the public by submitting your application now! “, said the mayor of Sainte-Thérèse, Mr. Christian Charron.
Citizen exibitions
The deadline for submissions is March 30th , 2023 and the citizen exhibitions in the visual arts are presented annually at Maison Lachaine, located at 37, rue Blainville Ouest.
To be eligible, artists must be residents of Sainte-Thérèse or the region (in equal value of accomplishments, Teresian artists are privileged), ubmit works from one of the following disciplines: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, digital art, installation, etc., and frame the works or provide the supports or facilities necessary for the exhibition of the works.
Municipal collections
For the municipal collections the deadline is April 30th, 2023. The municipal collection has more than thirty original works created by artists from the region.
To be eligible, artists must:
Be residents of Sainte-Thérèse or the region;
Hold the status of professional artist and be recognized as such by their peers;
Submit works from one of the following disciplines: graphic arts (drawing, printmaking, digital art, photography) or painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil, mixed media).
According to thew city’s press release, only the artists selected for the final selection will be contacted.
