Avoid emergencies call 811

High traffic in the six hospitals of the Laurentians region
Traffic remains high in the emergency rooms of hospitals in the Saint-Jérôme region, i.e. those located in. Eustache, Lachute, Saint-Jérôme, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Rivière-Rouge and Mont-Laurier, the Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) des Laurentides reiterates its request to avoid emergency rooms for non-urgent health problems.
The CISSS reminds the population of the alternatives to emergency in order to ensure that each person consults in the right place, depending on the nature of their problem. These services should always be considered, regardless of the emergency situation:
• contact Info-Santé 811 by phone to speak to a nurse;
• consult your family doctor;
• see a doctor in a walk-in clinic;
• consult your pharmacist;
• go to the emergency room, as a last resort.
The list of medical clinics offering walk-in consultations by place of residence is available in the resource directory: sante.gouv.qc.ca/repertoire-ressources.Rendez-vous Santé. Québec also allows you to get an online appointment depending on the time of day.
A person whose situation requires urgent care should not hesitate to go to the emergency room to receive the essential care they need.
If a patient has symptoms that are similar to COVID-19, the CISSS des Laurentides asks to not hesitate to get tested at a designated nearby clinic. To find out more, visit the COVID-19 section of the santelaurentides.gouv.qc.ca website.
