Arrest Made in Boisbriand Armed Robbery Case

In a significant development, the Regional Integrated Police Task Force (RIPTB) has successfully apprehended a suspect involved in an armed robbery incident that took place at a local bar in Boisbriand.

The incident, which occurred on the morning of July 25th, saw an individual enter the establishment brandishing a bladed weapon. Seizing the opportunity created by the absence of customers and the establishment’s opening procedures, the perpetrator managed to escape with a substantial amount of money. Fortunately, the incident concluded without any physical harm inflicted upon individuals present.

The swift and coordinated response of patrolling officers, combined with meticulous investigative efforts, played a pivotal role in identifying the suspect responsible for the robbery.

Following intensive police work, the suspect was apprehended on the morning of Monday, July 31st. He was subsequently brought before the St-Jérôme court on the same day to face the charges levied against him. The accused, a 27-year-old male, is now facing charges related to armed robbery as well as breaching established legal conditions. He appeared for a bail hearing on August 9th.
