“In recent weeks, Ms. Poulin and I have made dozens of calls to solicit people wishing to get involved in Blainville’s candidacy. We were treated to great enthusiasm and spontaneous positive responses. Our first meeting was most energizing and promises for the rest of the process,” said Mathieu Poirier.

For her part, Mayor Liza Poulin praised the diversity of expertise and the strong representation of the business community. “In the middle of the holidays, we managed to bring together nearly twenty people who immediately raised their hands to get involved in youth and sport. I would like to thank these people who will offer us diversified expertise and who will allow us to mobilize an entire network in our beautiful Blainville citizens and regional community,” she said.

Some of the members who make up the Blainville bid committee include Mathieu Poirier, chairman of the committee and chairman of Jardin Dion, Liza Poulin, Mayor of the City of Blainville, Yanick Bouchard, RDS host and media spokesperson, Jean-Sébastien Giguère, former NHL goalkeeper and athlete-ambassador, Myriam Boileau, former diver and athlete-ambassador, Éric Westram, Prefect of the MRC Thérèse-De Blainville and Mayor of the Town of Rosemère, Alain Roy, former general manager of the Quebec Games in 2009, Mylène Isabelle, Deputy General and Artistic Director of Odyscène and others.
