As part of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, the Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS ) des Laurentides continues to redouble its efforts and innovate in order to offer various possibilities to the population of the region to receive their dose of vaccine.
It is therefore in this spirit that the brand-new mobile application NotifVAX was developed, in collaboration with the company Ble-Network. In addition to providing the opportunity to anticipate a vaccination appointment by moving quickly to a nearby vaccination site, this free mobile application allows the CISSS des Laurentides to ensure that no vaccine dose is lost. This application, which aims to be anonymous, sends notifications to users, according to:

When receiving a notification indicating the availability of a dose, the user will have between 2 and 5 minutes to accept or decline it. Thereafter, the user must go to the vaccination site before the requested time. A delay or non-compliance with the instructions could lead to the cancellation of the appointment which will then be assigned to another person. Note that the NotifVAX application does not use geolocation or mobile phone number. The user is therefore anonymous and not localized. The number of notifications sent depends on the number of last minute doses available on a vaccination site. “We are really proud to have developed this mobile application. This is a first in Quebec! The enthusiasm is present and so far, we have had an excellent response rate with the employees. We are confident that the Laurentians will also respond,” said Caroline Chantal, director of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
As of now, the NotifVAX mobile application can be downloaded for free, via the Apple Store or Google Play platforms.
