The Laurentians remain a Red Zone

The Laurentian health region is still at Level 4 (maximum alert) Red Zone and the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) des Laurentides reminds the public to comply with the health measures and regulations currently in effect.

Even though in recent weeks the epidemiological situation in the region has remained stable, and the number of cases, hospitalisations and deaths has decreased, the emergence of new variants of the virus requires continued close monitoring of the situation by Public Health.

The following adjustments will be made to the current measures in Red Zones:
As of March 17, the curfew will be in force from 9:30 PM to 5:00 AM;

Starting March 26:

  1. Places of worship will be allowed to accommodate 25 people;
  2. Theatres and concert halls will be allowed to reopen under the same conditions as movie theatres in red zones.
  3. Hotel spas and indoor pools will also be allowed to reopen from March 26, along with the gradual
  4. resumption of sports and recreational activities.

“Everyone’s efforts to defeat COVID-19 must continue. Mass vaccinations are ongoing at our eight vaccination sites to help protect us all and stabilize the epidemiological situation,” said the President and Executive Director of the CISSS des Laurentides, Ms. Rosemonde Landry.
